About Us
Innovation Runs Deep
Aero Metals Inc. was founded in 1961 by Mr. Jim Fleming in LaPorte Indiana. It’s the classic American business story. The company began in his garage as a tool making and product design company. His entrepreneurial spirit coupled with his commitment to providing innovative designs and quality tools to produce those designs fueled his growth. In the late 1960’s he saw a need for quality commercial investment castings and filled it. So, with that same spirit and commitment, he quickly became known as one of the early “pioneers” of commercial and aerospace investment castings.
Still Holding True
Over the years Aero Metals has successfully grown to be one of the world’s leading manufacturers of investment cast components. The company now occupies a 175,000 sq. ft. state of the art facility that operates 24/7. At the heart of this facility are the 295 non-union employees that give Aero Metals its rich intellectual resources and skills that surpass many larger corporations. The company continues to hold true to its philosophy that a quality tool produces a quality part, and they always will. Their in-house tool making facility uses the most advanced CNC machinery and latest software technology to produce repeatable and highly complex investment cast parts.

Quality In…Quality Out
Quality investment castings are not only driven by our compliance to widely accepted industry standards, but by effectively meeting those requirements in the most efficient manner for all stakeholders. Aero Metals is certified to the internationally accepted Quality System Standard ISO 9001:2000. Those principles and processes begin in the quoting department and end when the parts are used at the customers’ facilities or by their end user. Aero Metals believes that quality is no longer just in manufacturing. It is now expected in all other supporting infrastructures to contribute to the overall health of the company and the environment.
Completing the Commitment
Aero Metals has remained faithful to their commitment to produce precision investment cast components and solutions. By understanding and reacting to the market’s diverse needs over the years, we have added post-production services to bring customers a complete value exchange. These services include cold coining, CNC milling and turning, vibratory and spin polishing, electro-chemical grinding, blast finishing, and sub-assemblies and complete kitting. To further our assurance in quality and value, there is a certified Non-Destructive Testing facility on site.
